Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2, 2026

At ProofGate, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our DeFi transaction validation service.

By using ProofGate, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We will not use or share your information except as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Wallet Address and On-Chain Data

When you connect your Web3 wallet to ProofGate, we collect your wallet address. We also process on-chain transaction metadata when you submit transactions for validation, including contract addresses, token amounts, transaction hashes, and validation results. This information is necessary for our validation service but we do not store complete transaction histories.

Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about your device and usage patterns, including IP addresses, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and interaction patterns. This helps us optimize our service and detect potential security issues.

Analytics and Performance Data

We use analytics tools to understand how users interact with our platform. This includes page views, feature usage, error reports, and performance metrics. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized to protect user privacy while helping us improve the service.

Validation Request Data

We do not store user data off-chain. Validation requests are processed in real-time through our API, and results are recorded directly on-chain. We may temporarily process request data during validation but do not retain it after completion.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To provide transaction validation, generate security reports, and deliver SAFE/BLOCKED verdicts with evidence
  • Security Analysis: To analyze transactions for potential risks, scams, and security vulnerabilities
  • Service Improvement: To enhance our validation algorithms, user interface, and overall platform performance
  • Customer Support: To assist users with service-related issues and provide technical support
  • Fraud Prevention: To detect and prevent fraudulent activity, money laundering, and other prohibited uses
  • Compliance: To ensure compliance with applicable laws, including sanctions and anti-money laundering requirements
  • Analytics: To understand usage patterns and improve user experience

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our platform (cloud hosting, analytics, customer support)
  • Blockchain Networks: Publicly available on-chain data is recorded on blockchain networks and is publicly accessible
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government regulation to comply with legal obligations
  • Security Protection: To protect against fraud, security threats, or illegal activities
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (though we are currently not engaged in such activities)
  • User Consent: With your explicit consent for specific purposes

All third-party service providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and are prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to ProofGate.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use basic cookies and tracking technologies to enhance your experience:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for basic platform functionality and security
  • Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics cookies to help us understand usage patterns and improve our service

You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. However, disabling certain cookies may limit functionality of our service.

5. Third-Party Services

ProofGate integrates with various third-party services:

  • Web3 Wallets: MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and other wallet providers for user authentication
  • Blockchain Networks: BNB Smart Chain and other networks for transaction processing
  • RPC Providers: Private and custom RPC endpoints deployed and managed by us
  • Analytics Services: Google Analytics for usage analytics and performance monitoring
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Digital Ocean for hosting and data processing

These third parties have their own privacy policies and practices. We encourage you to review their policies before using their services in conjunction with ProofGate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.

6. Data Retention

We do not store user data off-chain. Our data retention practices are minimal:

  • Validation Results: On-chain validation records are permanent and publicly accessible on blockchain networks
  • Request Data: Validation requests are processed in real-time and not stored after completion
  • Analytics Data: Google Analytics may retain aggregated usage statistics according to their retention policies
  • Legal Compliance: Certain data may be retained if required by law or for legal proceedings

We do not retain personal data off-chain. On-chain data cannot be deleted due to the immutable nature of blockchain networks. Any data retention is handled by our third-party service providers according to their own policies.

7. International Data Transfers

Since we do not store user data off-chain, international data transfers are minimal. Any analytics data collected by Google Analytics may be transferred internationally according to their privacy policy. Blockchain data is inherently global and publicly accessible.

8. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect any data we process:

  • Encryption: Data transmission using industry-standard encryption where applicable
  • Access Controls: Restricted access to systems and data
  • Blockchain Security: Reliance on blockchain network security for on-chain data

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security, particularly for data stored on public blockchain networks.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal and technical limitations)
  • Portability: Request transfer of your data in a structured format
  • Restriction: Request limitation of processing in certain circumstances
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for processing where applicable

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided below. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable law. Note that some rights may be limited due to the technical nature of blockchain data and our service architecture.

10. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Our processing of personal information is based on:

  • Contract: Processing necessary to provide our validation service and fulfill our contractual obligations
  • Legitimate Interests: Processing necessary for our legitimate business interests in providing security services
  • Legal Obligation: Processing necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Consent: Where we have obtained your explicit consent for specific processing activities

11. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not perform age verification as users connect through Web3 wallets. Users must ensure they are of legal age to use blockchain services in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our privacy practices.
